FAQs

  • According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with functioning or development. Symptoms typically manifest in early childhood and can continue into adulthood. Individuals with ADHD may struggle to maintain focus, follow through on tasks, or regulate their impulses, which can impact various aspects of life, including academic performance, work-related duties, and interpersonal relationships. ADHD is often diagnosed through a comprehensive evaluation that includes behavioural assessments and feedback from parents, teachers, and other caregivers. Treatment may include a combination of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle adjustments to help manage symptoms effectively.

      • Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation: Restlessness, impulsivity, and difficulty waiting their turn.

      • Combined Presentation: A mix of both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms
